China's first high-voltage AC/DC hybrid power grid project starts construction in Jiangsu Province
The second phase of the Yangzhou-Zhenjiang ±200 kV direct current (DC) power transmission (Yangzhen DC phase 2) project kicked off construction on Wednesday in east China's Jiangsu Province, with the aim to further expand the application of alternating current (AC)/DC hybrid power grid technologies to help accelerate the development of a clean, low-carbon, safe and efficient new energy system, according to State Grid Jiangsu Electric Power Co., Ltd.
